About the Filmmakers


Mark London, Writer & Producer

Mark London, who practices law full time in Washington, DC in the area of commercial litigation, is the co-author of Amazon (1983: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Editora Record) and The Last Forest: The Amazon in the Age of Globalization (2007: Random House, Editora Martins Fontes). Along with the Amazonas Sustainabiltiy Foundation and Marriott International, Mark helped create the Rio Juma Reserve in the State of Amazonas, a revolutionary project tying the sale of environmental services to carbon avoidance.


Cidney Hue, Co-Director & Co-Editor

Cidney Hue is a science and sci-fi director and filmmaker in NYC.

Adrian Vasquez de Velasco, Co-Director & Co-Editor

Adrian Vásquez de Velasco is a film director based in NYC and a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His work has been screened at the Warsaw Film Festival, the Palm Beach International Film Festival, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, and the World Sustainability Forum in Brazil. He currently works at Ticklish Subjects and Phraxos Films.


Andrew Wollner, Composer & Sound Designer

Andrew Wollner is a composer and sound engineer whose creative interests include music for film and multimedia, sound design, concert music, studio recording, and songwriting. His music and audio work can be heard in several recent independent film productions, and his music has been performed on multiple occasions in New York and Michigan. From 2009-2011, Andrew undertook graduate studies in music technology and film scoring at New York University, where he studied music composition with David Spear and Sonny Kompanek. In addition to “Odessa,” Andrew’s recent projects include the score for the multiple award-winning dramatic short, “Crossing,” directed by Gina Atwater, music and sound design for writer Mark London’s documentary, Shark Loves the Amazon, directed by Cidney Hue and Adrian Vasquez de Velasco, and music and sound design for Cidney Hue’s short, “Somewhere in a City.” Andrew lives in New Jersey with his wife, Alaina.


Animations by Phraxos Films & Steve Girard

Michael Guggenheim is a film producer and co-founder of Phraxos Films, a film and animation production company based in New York City.

Sage Einarsen is an illustrator and animator from Kyoto, Japan. He is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and a co-founder of Phraxos Films, and is currently based in New York.
